yup, thanks to verizon laying lines in the area the cable company finally jacked speeds up to 20mbps down, & 2 up....during this test i was uploading some video to a server in N.Y.C. so that took up half the stream.
Btw, with comcast...(at least in my area) it seems that you can only achieve 2mbps upstream for the first 10-20mb's of the file, then it drops to 1-1.5....no doubt some sort of p2p throttling mechanism. Allowing large pictures to be sent by e-mail quickly, but keeping large video files at bay.
What methods have you noticed your ISP using to curb file sharing?
