No, as a matter of fact she tries (for the most part) to keep out of the spotlight; but you still know who the fuck she is. She sells her name? That's funny, but I knew the name HILTON from hotels looooong before I knew who Paris Hilton was, so I wouldn't say she has to do a whole helluva lot of selling.

You can't list Professional Party-goer as your occupation and expect to be taken seriously by anyone. Just because you get paid to do something now and then doesn't make it your "job". On a side note, anyone that is so insecure that they feel the need to pay someone (esp. $100k) to come to their party, is just fucking SAD.

                                                                                                        1. She is YOUNG, Ultra-rich, and (relatively) attractive.
                                                                                                        2. She has a GREAT staff (publicist, PR, etc) doing her "marketing" (selling her) for her. With the exception of cutting them checks, she DOES NOT do shit.

I'm not arguing about whether or not she deserves fame. Of course she is a celebrity and will continue to be in the spotlight. Good for her, I have no problem with that. The problem I have is when people try to convince me that she should be my idol because she is "such a success". She is not a success, she is a celebrity; there is a difference. And any time you question what she has actually accomplished herself, everyone says you're jealous and you're a hater. I'm not hating on her and I'm certainly not jealous of her, but I do believe 100% that she has done NOTHING to earn my adoration. That was my entire point; not whether or not she deserved her fame and fortune.
