My Disturbing Experiences in Changing Contact Info on a Ton of Programs

Well as of a couple weeks ago, my company has moved offices and we had to change all our contact information on all of the programs we are members of. We also had to change the payment details to put another company name on the account. Here are some disturbing results from that endeavor:

1) Most of the programs don't send you an e-mail to verify that changes were made to an account. It seems the only ones that did were NATS based. Many NATS based ones didn't utilize this feature. This makes it real easy for a scammer to login, plug in their epassporte details, and start getting payments unbeknownst to the affiliate. With the recent NATS data leak, I can't fathom any NATS program not utilizing this option in the program.

2) About half the programs only give you one line for your address. Some even cut off that line after a certain number of characters. Many of us have long addresses, work in offices. Not a huge deal but I think it's just silly not to have 2 lines.

3) Many programs require you to e-mail in the changes. I'm surprised how many didn't respond and haven't changed the address/payment details to this day. Some of these are big programs, some are real active on the boards. Amazing how I can find programs that post 100 times a day on the boards but can't have someone fix a mailing address in their backend. Honestly, for a few of them, we're just dropping links.

4) Only a small handful block changing payment details a day or two before the payout. This should be in place in more programs and is a great security measure from blocking scammers from sniping your payment.

I know some of these seem minor, but I think are pretty important. I guess I'm more shocked than anything considering how easy some of these changes are to implement.
