Anyone run two different versions of icq at once?

I'm too nervous to download another icq.. but my trillian shows me as offline even after I reinstalled it today. I gotta get two icqs going but I'm scared to death that I'll replace my other one and lose all my logs.

I can simply just put the new one in a different directory right?

Sorry for the stupid question.. figured it would hurt less to ask than to lose all my stuff.

          LOL

You can run 2 different icq apps on your system, just can't run both (with the same UIN) at the same time.

Rrred - get another ICQ number - install it also on trillian. *If you're nervous* backup your log files. You shouldn't lose them & as you get your contacts & start moving people over to the new number (and you'll show online) - your chats will all remain on the same log file.

I don't know if I'm online offline anymore - but I'm just about all bitched out with the folks at Cerulean studios and complaining for about this stuff.

*just a question though - did you hit Help & Check for Updates? There was an update file about 2 weeks ago*
