How about that other designer that replaced him he makin 10% or was he paid flat? Was it just easier to cut out Potter and put the 10% somewhere else? Thats what I am thinking.
What about the time the guy that thought you were his friend what did he get other then getting cut out of the deal? Did you at least pay him for the time he put into the effort?
