Yah, three sweeps I learned as a white. The half guard sweep, the white belt killer aka hip bump, and the scissors sweep. All basic, and all work when applied right.
I find if I get that position, to try and sell a knee bar so they shift their weight off that leg and on the posting leg. So when I sweep with my upper leg, they are off balance. It's a 50/50 chance of pulling it off for me, but when it works, it's sweet. When it doesn't, I get oppurtunies to pass under, or go for the knee bar.
