I had emailed support after a recent affiliate email came out with affiliate codes even though I had used the right merge code. The came back with that. Received the following back from CCBILL Support:

The has been an issue with %%affiliateID%% and the emails. As a result, the code %%partner_id%% is bieng used to replace %%affiliateid%%. Our programming team is currently working to correct our systems with the new variable ID. Please update your email with the %%partner_id%% variable.
