theres a few really popular "rogue" toolbars out there , some as high as 1% coverage. I wouldnt doubt this is part of the problem.

but it is also up to the sponsor to weed out the spyware affiliates, if they dont they are just shooting themselves in the foot , because eventually affiliates notice something strange going on and move to a new sponsor. then the spyware guy has nothing to "shave/steal/skim" , and the sponsors "wonderboy" sponsor suddenly goes dud.
