Stayed in Playa and I tell you the beach is all messed up. Concrete is everywhere, construction is still going on in virtually every hotel. The beach itself moved about 100 feet closer and some really nice properties lost virtually all of its beach. Royal Hideaway where we usually stay is still closed?
I just got back from Cancun (Mayan Coast) and the beach is FUCKED UP!!!!

Probably about the same. Look how much sand the hurricanes washed away and what?s left of the beach.. That wall on the picture is whats holding up the main swimming pool. Before, the beach was 100 yards away?Originally posted by CCIs Tulum OK? I've wondered about this ever since the hurricanes hit, but never really heard much.Comment

that sucks big timeSIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.Comment

Cancun is all built way too close to the beach, and as a result, storm erosion is more than enough to basically remove the beach entirely.
They will have to do what they did in Miami / Hollywood, which is reclaim the sand and dump it back where there is suppose to be a beach. There is no other way to fix it.

Its Mayan Cost, about 45 minutes away from Cancun, but from what I hear its the same everywhere in that "Cancun" area. Hurricanes destroyed so much it is hard to describe. Everywhere you step there are man made blocks of concrete, tile, some glass, and other garbage?Originally posted by slapassWere you in the hotel district or is that far from Cancun proper?Comment

They were saying on one of the travel reviews that that is exactly what they are doing and expect to have it completed by the end of May. Thats a hell of a lot of coast line to repair...Originally posted by RawAlexCancun is all built way too close to the beach, and as a result, storm erosion is more than enough to basically remove the beach entirely.
