    ICQ vs AIM vs MSN vs Y!

    What do you like best? I know you all use ICQ on here but what is your weapon of choice?

    If you use trillian dont vote i guess?

    My own opinion, I dont see why ICQ is so great, i personally like AIM. Much better feel for me

              None gtalk or skype. gtalk for storing chatlogs in gmail account which make them accessible from anywhere

                  Ah forgot about both, gtalk is nice i agree. I use it wheni log into gmail. But then again with sites like www.Meebo.com you can go on any of them at any time.

                              i like AIM only because when i log on other computers (mac or pc) it keeps my contacts and everything the same.

                              i also use trillian but i voted too but my counts damnit!

                                      I use ICQ. I rarely have problems with it. Works fine. Everyone else in the industry uses it.

                                          very true. i know when i sign on i wont get IMs with size 100 font with some dumb ass comments. plus most of my college and non industry friends use AIM so when im not in the chatting mood i just disconnect it

                                          for me and IM clients its like this...

                                          ICQ - adult biz
                                          Y! - mainstream biz
                                          AIM - friends/goof balls
                                          G chat - people who cant figure out how to sign up for ICQ

                                                                                                  ICQ is to Skype what the Atari 2600 is to the Playstation 3.

                                                                                                  The only reason anyone can conceivably still be using ICQ is because, as Wizzo pointed out, the contacts. But saying anyone "prefers" (based on quality, features, etc.) it is ridiculous. It's the dinosaur of IM, to put it mildly.
