I convert around 1:25 on targeted traffic, and about 1:100 non-targeted.

i am probably going to implement mod_rewrite so when you load a jpg it will load the image on a page with textlink ads at the top.

How would that actually work if the traffic is gonna be hotlinked? Most people will have img src'd you I figure so wouldn't the modrewrite have to be done to the actual image and not to fwd to a page with the image?

if the surfer is using firefox, you can check the accept header to determine whether request is being linked via an img tag, or being opened as a regular webpage. IE sends the same header regardless of how it was opened so I'm looking into an alternative solution for that
