Do cops intimidate you when you are pulled over buy them?

I just got pulled over for a small traffic infraction.... Going down a one way for

a two car lenths to pass another car during spring break and pulled over by

one of Ft liquordale's finest. Man I was so nervous I couldnt find anything I man

for some reason I always feel like I am going to jail. But this story has a happy

ending he acutally let me go. quote: "this is a serious traffic infractment If you

were not cause a traffic jam here I would write you a ticket, now you can go

WOW... whooo hooo horray!!!

I counted my blessing and said thank you sir and pressed on. Man that is the first time

I ever had a cop pull me over and be nice. Thank GOD its spring break!!!

It depends how stoned i am.... when im straight i try to not get intimidated , but bad previous experiences don't help. When i'm stoned i always do amazingly well. ( VERY USEFULL TIP - when you get your drivers license renewed , get really hammered and stoned then drive with your face out the window right before you get you pic taken , this way you will look , upset/angry/drunk/stoned all at the same time , and when cops pull you over you will look somewhat normal compared to thepic)

I am not intimidated. Sometimes I wish I were it would help keep my attitude in check. As I am getting older though I am a bit more cordial to those that are "Serving and protecting".

I'm usually nice as hell. Usually they're fucking pricks to me. No worries, I have a great guy who's gotten me off lots of tickets in the past. Turns out most of these cops don't know how to fill out a police ticket properly.

I've been pulled over a few times and never had a problem. The problems you DO hear about are not necessarily indicative of all Police officers. But that's what the media is going to jump on...the negative.

That's the exact same problem we complain about in regards to the perception people have about us. Just because there's CP on the internet, and you market internet porn, doesn't mean YOU'RE into CP.

By the same token, Customs agents DO intimidate me. But, I've had problems with them in the past.

Your opinion probably has something to do with who you HAVE had problems with in the past.

But in all honesty, I'm guessing the couple I had that were idiots were in the minority too. Although I'm sure 9/11 has legitimately caused some of them to become a little more militant.

nawww. if anything, they piss me off (the smart ass ones). i have that "Fuck you!" attitude and mentality, which has got me into trouble once when i was pulled over in Pennsylvania and the fuckin cop got all smart with me and was like "and just where were YOU going, MISS WISCONSIN!??" i was like "none of your fuckin business, OFFICER!" that pissed him off and he went back to his car and wrote me up a ticket.

jokes on me though cuz i later found out that he ended up marrying my cousin, making him a part of my family. We try to avoid each other at family reunions lol *mumbles* dickhead.

I'm not talking about what i've seen or heard. I'm talking about personal experiences. Being young and self employed, I don't have a normal 9-5 persons sleeping cycle.. I stay up really late and go out to grab something to eat around 2-3am a lot and cops assume i'm dealing because i'm out so late driving around... That and i just plain LOVE driving.... but when i bump into the same cop a couple times in a row, they pull me over and tell me they know i'm selling drugs... and search my car inside and out while i have to sit handcuffed on the curb... and like usual. they never find anything...

I'm sure they have logs on their computers when they run a license plate.. and i'm pretty sure it says when the last time the car was pulled over and searched, and if anything was found or not... So i think they're just bored and love fucking with people...

this happens at least once every month or two... and theres not much of anything i can do... who am i going to complain to? his supervisor? as if he gives a fuck and will actually put the complaint through onto the cops record.

Every time they try and pull that stunt now, i go and file a formal complaint... seems to have stopped them from fucking with me

coming into the country was totally routine until he asked what I did for work. As soon as I said "webmaster" he got all his buddies over to work my luggage over real good. Asked lots of questions about how much cash I was carrying, how much cash I took with me, etc., so I think they were after cash. I got roughed up by sf pd a few years ago. I was walking home one night threw the edge of the tenderloin district. As I came up on Larkin and Geary there was something going on with the cops and some bums.

A friend of mine made a wise crack and they immediately grabbed him, slammed him on the car and started to search him. I said "what the fuck" and a cop started poking me in the chest extremely hard asking me if I wanted to go to jail. I said I know my rights that's assault as he was poking me in my chest. Next thing I knew I was on the ground being hit by 3 officers.

My friend and I spent that night in jail. We were released the next morning with no charges filed. I still have pictures, I walked out of jail with a black eye and bloody rings around my wrists from the tightness of the cuffs. We filed complaints with the office of citizen complaints but they didn't do shit. At the time I lived 3 blocks from where this happened and was completely sober.

Cops out here are fucking assholes. I always try to steer clear of them. They're thugs with badges. There is a huge scandal going on right now in SF about this very subject. There is something like 2000+ police related assaults reported a year in San Francisco. Fucking crazy!

Funny I ran into a plan close police man down town in ft liquordale fl tonight

and I told him what happened and he was like the cop just did not want

to do the paper work. Thank goodness for lazy cops.. haha

Funny today on the beach I see every cop way ahead of time because I may

not be so lucky next time. I never even paid attention before so getting pulled

over was a good lesson that I wont do the same mistake twice.
