    Holy WTF batman. Google guys, explain this to me

    i've got a domain, it's been hosted for a few years but nothing was ever on it. it was and still is just a open dir page. There's 0 back links in yahoo and google. BUT on all the DC's it's showing as a PR5

    anyone have a clue as to WTF is up with that?

                      this only shows your ignorance, many things are possible, without the actual domain it is impossible to find out what is going on , no matter what your se knowledge is

                                          i'll never post the domain here. it's just NOT going to happen. I'm doing some top secret seo there and I wouldn't want any of the gfy "elite seoers" getting "inspiration" (read: stealing the idea) from it.

                                          I just was curious if anyone had any thoeries.

                                                      Google's Backlink check is a joke. They track many more links then they display in a backlink check.

                                                      Odds are, you have some PR6 link that is indexed by Google but they don't show on their backlink check.

                                                          This makes no sense at all ... you are doing "top secret seo" on a site that now has a PR5 and you have no idea how it got that rank? And you are coming here looking for help from the gurus but not willing to show the domain in case the same gurus steal your ideas?
