That's what I was thinking.

The guy who lived next to me in college had one and he was one of the best dogs I've ever run across. He had those beautiful blue eyes and he was SO intelligent. It was like he was human. He would sit on furniture like people and if a group of people were talking, he'd sit and watch each speaker like he was really paying attention and participating in the conversation.
