USA 300 million so if we had the same gun homicide rate as the UK there would only be 400 murders by guns each year instead of the 10,000 or so we currently have. Since most of those murders are younger people how much is it costing the taxpayers to lose that many younger people? How many lost work years is that? No to mention if they have kids then the taxpayers foot the bill to take care of them. How much taxes am I paying for people that are shot and end up in the hospital?
