It is an awesome name, but I am biased ;)
For example, there is a mental focus type vitamin product on TV that offers free pills (customer pays for shipping and handling, I believe).
Why?
The basic idea is that by giving samples, you build your customer database.
You need to ask yourself, "what is the value of a customer in our database?"
Each industry is different.
For example, one Cadillac dealer calculated that each customer was worth $332,000 over their lifetime in terms of gross revenue.
Obviously, for pills it is going to be a different number.
The easiest way look at this may be to ask yourself: "How much money do we make each year, per customer?" That's easy to calculate.
With such a domain, you can hook tons of customers and get them into your database.
So, for a free sample, and some mass media, you pick up a new customer. Sounds like a no-brainer, huh?
