    More Than 2 Tons Of Pot Found In Truck Trying To Enter U.S.
    Drug-Sniffing Dog Detects Pot Hidden In Fabric


    SAN DIEGO -- Authorities announced Tuesday the seizure of over 4,700 pounds of marijuana from a truck attempting to enter the United States from Mexico.

    Officials say they found 279 wrapped packages of pot hidden inside a shipment of fabric and scrap material.

    Agents found the drugs, valued at more than $2 million, after the truck gained the attention of a drug-sniffing dog at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry on Friday.

    The truck had California plates.

    Border Patrol agents arrested the 45-year-old Mexican driver.

    (thank god the other truck with 2 tons of cocaine made it here safely)

                      i was just reading another strange pot bust ( from awhile ago )
                      Someone shipped 1 million dollars in weed to a record company and all it said was "ronnie" on the shipping label, security got suspicious and opened it.. haha

                                                                                          Close but not exactly right. they will often ship a small amount to get busted, so that a larger amount will get through. But I dont think they would want to have that amount get busted. Had it been a few pounds, then maybe.
