What specifically did the doctor say was wrong with your kidneys? Are you an unhealthy fat guy with a horrible diet and/or history of drug and alcohol abuse or is it a genetic condition of some kind he is diagnosing? Go get a second opinion whatever it is, doctors are often wrong in their diagnosis of problems with your internal organs like this.

my doctor says kidneys are over rated, you only need one.
if you die can I have your stuff?
everybody has stuff, and if you die you won't need it.

why would I give you my stuff? I have friends and family that will gladly take them

and 2nd opinion is a must ofcourse...hopefully 2nd one will say something different

I have had a few friends in the 3 months get diagnosed with different diseases. Second opinions turned up different results and third opinions in 2 cases (both kidney related) confirmed the second and in the 3rd case gave a whole new diagnosis.

Damn I wish people were as easy to run a diagnostic on as a computer. Good luck man.

Even if they do find something wrong, it could be something treatable. It can be really scary when you have no idea what you're facing, so hopefully the tests will figure things out once and for all. I agree on that second opinion. Trust your gut.

good luck, at least it isn't 100+ years ago when you'd probably just die slow. Modern medicine is good stuff.

My girlfriend's mother was given months to live. That was almost a year ago now. She's still fighting and there's still hope.

I'm sure whatever it is, it's treatable and curable.
