You're right that one of the two guys who originally released arylia runs pornspinner.com, and that he's the one who sold his share. However, he sold his share
to Arylia's coder... which is me.
I am currently working on version 3 of Arylia (did you guys not get the memo? we could repost it...). Will it be better than Gallery Daemon? Well, it seems to be a matter of preference now, so it's hard to imagine it won't be a matter of preference then. Of course I like it better, but I'm somewhat biased...
Version 3 should be ready for public use in a month or so, though it might be a beta. Since developers are known for grossly overestimating themselves, and I've noticed that I am not immune to such deficiencies, you can probably
actually expect to see it by the end of March or early April. But my goal is mid- to late February.
If you think seeing the half-finished state of it might change your opinion, feel free to send me a PM and I'll show it to you (after giving you the appropriate disclaimers and warnings, of course). It is already v2-feature complete (and yes, I did rewrite it all line-by-line) so even in its current state it is quite a useful script.
