anyway when you have your icq widow selected, like on the foreground... check if the keyboard language icon changes on the right on your taskbar (assuming you got win XP). Select the other language and its good

mine 'eats' some of the letters, like if I type "letters" it'll display "letes" or something similar, I guess I can update but I'm too lazy and scared that I might lose my contacts

sounds like you spilled something sticky on the keys, like coke or bodily fluids.

yes i use xp (and ICQ lite) but i dont see the keyboard language tool on the taskbar at all

and no i didnt change anything recently in any settings recently, its not that i get bored and play around with my PC to change settings

you had this problem as well? 'y' is now 'z' and other less important keys like
? _ ) : ) etc are all displaced as well

right click on empty part of taskbar > top option named 'toolbars' or whatever it is in english > select 'language bar'

my keyboard sometimes goes French on me..

so my question marks ? will all end up looking like this - É

From the sounds of it that's the kind of thing that's happening to you, I'd suggest checking your language options if you haven't already

no prob.... happens to my pc too sometimes i have no idea how its triggered, found this simple solution out just recently.... i also used to reboot out of frustration lol....great success!
