it depends on the breed of dog. you wouldnt get some pit bull kind of dog to be around a child, NEVER.
I have always grown up with dogs, since i was a baby. you have to teach the child to respect the dog and the dog will respect CHILD! just like the relationship with your wife. its a partnership.... dogs go bad when you treat them badly!
