If you can't make any money on paid gallery spots or submit passes, then don't use them. You don't have to piss all over the people who sell them.
If they were really "ripping everyone off" or "screwing everyone over" then they wouldn't still be in business.

Let's not forget here you're getting screwed for over 50 fucking % when you buy a video post spot for example. Which is insane. You buy a THOUSAND dollar spot and are told the site gets 332k uniques while in reality they get 128k! Thats not just a minor detail. Think about it.
