Did the actual page with pr5 change? Example.com/index.html cahnge to eample.com/index.php? or something like that? Seems really small but it can tweak the pr and certainly if it main.html to main.php

PR is nothing these days, trustrank is everything. I noticed that Google traffic on my sites doesn't depend on their PR's. For example, some sites got higher PR but lose SE traffic, others got their PR lowered, but SE traffic has grown.

the domain is registered 2003, I have 200+ back links, the site needs the traffic only from these back links. Google traffic does not make sense to my kind of site. I just wondered that something is wrong when the PR drops.
Yes the URL is changed from index.php to index.asp but I do not belive that this is not th only one reason for my pr lose.

P.S. Just an example. I had a free site with P3 and about 200 uniques a day. After that I removed the old content (design) and turned it into a morphing splog (WordPress + CyberSEO). Google has lowered its PR to 1 because it doesn't like "radical changes" on established sites with old domains, but... now I'm getting 2000+ uniques daily. So in my case: lower PR = more traffic. I believe it's because Google has changed the the trustrank as well since all the content now is "unique" and non-static.

Bingo just give it time and it should heal itself. Will the people who linked you update the links or do they 404 now?
