I think you must hire a certain number of Americans and invest a certain amount of money into the company to be granted status in the US. Not 100% but its not the easiest thing in the world to do.XXXRewards - Karups - Boyfun - Jawked. Paying on time since 1997. Contact me at brent [at] xxxrewards.com -
i think u can get a 2 year renewable visa if you are going to start a company and hire americans. there is a lot of paperwork involved and the us has to approve you. i have a friend and it took him 2 years to get approval...Comment

well, don't know exactly to be honest. but as a german you can move to any other EU country and work there without any problems.Originally posted by baddogI hope you are not serious . . . would they just let you move to Germany from the US?
and as soon as i remember you can move to Germany and get a permanent visa in case you are opening a company hereComment

thats correct, you need a certain number of americans to work for you, invest and some more details. Unless youre bringing serious money Id suggest getting a DE company and lean back in Germany.Originally posted by AxemanI think you must hire a certain number of Americans and invest a certain amount of money into the company to be granted status in the US. You would have to integrate and learn their language and stuff.
Spanish is not as easy as it seems.Comment

You might want to visit for an extended period first.Originally posted by MaDaltonwhen running my own company? I bring tax money to the US - will they welcome me??
As a friend i think it would be a HUGE business mistake by you. Your main strength is being in the Euro market. If you move to the US you join all the other american photographers/content producers and it will no doubt hurt you bad.Comment

i never said i'd bring my partner with me - but i would be finally in the same timezone as all my customers and could visit conventions more easily
anyway, i'm just thinking of several options at the moment

You can stay 90 days on your passport. I would do that first. I think they limit the amount of times you can come a year though. We went through all that with my wife. Long story but she was technically illegal for about 7 months while we worked out getting her permanent resident card, and then her greencard. You wont technically be able to work till you get the greencard, but you may be able to get a work visa, or do the business thing like mentioned above. Full greencard takes at least a year or two to get.Comment

But you are the contact that works all the deals with the models right? Or do you just sell the content?Originally posted by MaDaltoni never said i'd bring my partner with me - but i would be finally in the same timezone as all my customers and could visit conventions more easily

i have nothing to do with the content shooting itself - my partner and the other photographers do that. i'm in Germany - they're in Czech Rep.Originally posted by shapBut you are the contact that works all the deals with the models right? Or do you just sell the content?
All contacts with models, agencies, my partner etc. are done by email, Skype, ICQ - technically it would be no problem.
we meet maybe one week a month in person, i could even do that by flying in.Comment

You might want to know, that if you want to stay in the US, then you have to apply for the work visa - residential visa - green card...whatever you want via the US embassy in Germany...
You can apply via INA in US, and they can grant you the permit, but they will tell you that next time you go to Germany, then you have to go to the US embassy to have them to stamp the valid visa in your passport....and if they don't like you...then they over rule the INA permit...I tell you my friend...it's very difficult....GlamourGirls...HQ 2257 Compliant Glamour Photo and Video Content, for Web - Mobile and TV !!
