I have the perfect stock to buy. Obviously, the stock market - let alone an individual stock, do not qualify as a safe investment, but this particular stock is where I would go with that 500k. And I wouldn't even be nervous.
Once you double or triple up (within the next year or two) then you put 1M in the bank of scotland and keep 500k to really spread around in the stock market.
