    What is the purpose of a webmaster link on a tgp gallery?

    I came across this gallery just now and thought "what the fuck". What is the purpose behind putting a link to an affiliate program on a tgp gallery? To turn a surfer into a webmaster? We shouldn't be educating surfers how this game works.

          It's to remind the surfer that they are nothing more than a cow, there for the milking, so that they can keep their credit card in their pocket.

          It's reason #45 why some webmasters are their own worst enemies.

              What is the point behind webmasters posting up URL's to their TGP's (landing page) on their GFY sigs is an even better of a question!

                  If someone submitted a gallery with a link like that to my sites, I would kill their partner account. There is absolutely no reason to have a link like that on a gallery. All you're going to do is turn a few surfers into educated surfers or possibly webmasters.

                      That wm link is pretty big... I put a very small link all the way on the bottom of most my gals that just says [webmasters].

                              nobody in this thread.

                              alot of webmasters post their TGP pages in their sigs. I can understand posting a link with a Link Trade or Submission landing page...but the TGP itself? What is the purpose?

                              I know what you're saying too though. The worst is when their is a splash page that says "Surfers click here, webmasters click here"

                                  Do you mean on FHG's for your program or do you mean on the galleries that you submit(if you submit)? Either way - what for? If a webmaster likes the gallery, the content, etc. and wants to promote it he/she can click through to the paysite and look for the webmaster link on the bottom of the paysite.

                                  As a webmaster, I would try to not turn as many surfers into webmasters as possible.

                                              Its got nothing to do with trying to turn surfers in to webmasters..

                                              Most TGPs do actually have reviewers these days and, thats a potential new affiliates, especially if your gallery design and content is nice looking.

                                              Whenever i build a site or gallery i always put a webmaster link on the btm of the page.

                                                  on fhg's... you are right though if a webmaster likes the site ect and wants the program he will go to the paysite and find the link there, thats why i dont really make it a must on all my gals and the ones they are on is very small and buried so only someone looking for it will see it... but some wm's are too lazy to go thru the additional link to the paysite lol.

                                                      So many submitters and reviewers are looking at galleries all the time to see who's who and what new programs etc are out there. I don't think it's a horrible idea at all. Surfers, especially tgp surfers, have already clicked webmasters links a million times before. They already know there's nothing interesting in there.
