I know a few personally who are pretty cool. Most that I've either come in contact with or have needed help from were complete dicks much like those in the video.

What I don't get is why cops always ask for ID for no reason when you're doing nothing wrong. Are they that bored?

Most of these cops will end up patrolling the water, thats where they send the most agressive hardass cops, less complaints.

That all was pretty crazy ... evryone of the cops who was agressive seem to have some kind of guily look on their faces ... and they were all very defensive ....amazing .. totally amazing

Another person that is to fast to call names, and not truly listen and see what was going on. The officer clearly said. Dont take another step closer. If he feels that this person may be a danger to him, he has every right to protect himself.

The cop was belligerent from the very beginning and instigated the entire confrontation.

I have many cop friends myself, in fact two cops live next door and they're great neighbours.

But some of those cops on the video had major attitudes and should be disciplined accordingly.

Grab a clue , you obviously have an opinion based PURELY on some "isolated" experience with police officers. Nobody is saying "all cops are idiots" , "all cops act that way ", you could have hung with cops for 50 years with 100's of cops , that doesnt mean some cops in some places you didnt "hang" with dont do bad things that we should be aware of..

Gee i hung with a cop once so they should be able to intimidate people because their job is stressfull.. give me a break..

No offense , but dont let your experiences cloud your judgement.. some cops are saints , some cops should be treated like heroes and worshiped way more than any hollywood actors/politicians.. some cops save lives and protect people. but if you cant realise this and also realise there are dirty drug dealing back stabbing murdering molesting sick twisted power hungry cops , then your slanted..

The problem in these situations is that there isn't a place to go if you have an abusive police officer. Most IA departments are jokes and run by the officers themselves. Most complaints are brushed off. So in the end, these officers have complete control.

The officer who followed the guy out of the station should be fired on the spot. There is no excuse for it whatsoever. The guy wasn't threatening and was trying to walk away.

Lastly, people forget one important thing. Cops work for us. Our tax dollars pay for their salary. They are here to serve and protect us, not belittle and intimidate us. So the "live in their shoes" expression doesn't fly with me. They chose the job, they can quit anytime, and they work for us. It's time people stopped being afraid and intimidated by officers and treating them like employees.

Surprised that a cop accused of felonies, sexual assaults, physical assaults and on tape verbally harrasing a mother and her family in uniform is still on duty. One of the only jobs in the country you can get away with all that.

its sad but true, cops are people, and not all people are good, not all people do their job properly, not all people are entirely sane. thats all there is to it. we've all run into shitty cops, and by the same token, we've run into nice helpful cops.

lot like bartenders at clubs, car dealers, doctors, the list goes on. but in this case, regardless of editing, some of these cops were just outright irrational and confrontational. and the biggest point that no one touches on is, THERE ARE FORMS THAT YOU CAN TAKE, the misbehavior was the juicy part to hype it up, but yah, there are forms, that was the point.

I think all police stations should have the complaint forms, but the video editing of this report is extremely bias. Like with the cop that grabbed his gun. The video immediately begins with the cop clearly frustrated. I'm guessing the officer asked this guy a lot of questions, all to which he wouldn't answer or repeated the same question "Do you have a complaint form I can fill out?" This would frustrate any police officer and probably why they asked if he had mental problems or was on medication. If you're trying to take down this persons report and they won't say anything and keep asking for a form, I'd think you were an idiot with a mental problem too. Walking after him out of the police station was a little much. So what if he touched his gun? For all I could see he was checking to make sure the safety was on, or that it was properly holstered. He didn't pull a fucking gun on anyone or act like he was going to draw his weapon.

You've gotta understand this guy came in there with absolutely no legitimate complaint. He just wanted forms. Well, if there really are no forms available wtf do you want the officer to do? Let's blame a police officer for department policy issues? Most of the stations just said no and the guy left. The incidents occured when officers attempted to follow procedure and document the complaint. But because there was no complaint the officers got extremely frustrated having to deal with this person who wants help, but won't give any details.

I see the issue the video makes, but I also see how it was spun to make a few cops look really bad. I didn't see intimidation, I saw frustration.
