why do so many guys want to fight at bars?

i am not a big guy, i am averaged size and there are so many haters

That shit happens at most of the bars and clubs I hang out at. It's almost always black guys and white "gangsters" who push in crowds, make shoulder to shoulder contact and tell you to get the fuck out of their way.

Make friends with huge ass motherfuckers and let it be known. Then walk around the club/bar with them and noone will fuck with you LOL.

that is the key - it's much more enjoyable knowing your back is covered. Observe which bouncers are in charge (they will be constantly moving around) and buy them a few shots. The fights usually start, in my experience, when its a sausage fest..

Get a bunch of horny drunk (or coked up etc) meatheads in a small confined space, with little or no trim to try and take home, and its a recipe for a fight. Just one of those things.

My brother is 20, 6'4" and stacked. i don't know how i didn't get that big he must have ate his veggies. he is my good buddy when people "accidentally" bump into me and then proceed to say "watch teh fuck out".

Alcohol brings out different elements in people. The two elements I hate the most are the I love you man drunk, and then of course the violent drunk. Sounds like you are getting some of the latter.

Then some others get alcohol strength. They really think they can not only fight the fucking world, they actually think they can win.

As they said make friends with the bouncers and if there are not metal detectors, they do not frisk you on the way in, and if its legal to carry in your area invest in a high quality taser gun or stun gun. I personally like the tasers with the optional mace attachment which can be accidentally filled with bear guard instead of regular mace. Then unless if your bar serves PCP odds are you will put down any would be attacker, just make sure your defending yourself. If that is not an option just remember people can be big, people can build up muscles that can pound you to the ground, but people can really not build up ones knees and if they are drunk a good solid kick to the knee will solve most of your problems. Just make sure you do it right the first time.

two punks started a fight, got kicked out of the strip club I was supposed to go to(we opted for the higher end club)...thank gawd, then one of them pulled out a gun and shot an innocent bystander on his way to the subway.

here's my half-baked theory...

It's true what they say about alcohol being a truth serum. I've known some guys who everyone thinks is the nicest person, but they start shit at bars as soon as they "get they drunk on." The facade drops.

I know one dude I won't even be around with alcohol in the mix. He's just a total douche. So now, I know he's a fucking douche, even when he starts acting like Wallace Cleaver when he's sober.

On the flipside, there's some sullen, brooding, aloof motherfuckers(like myself) who just become a total sweetheart when they drink.

Alcohol let's you drop your front and brings out the real person. If you're an asshole who really likes to fight, that's what you'll probably do when you drink too much.

Knowing the bouncers is probably the best thing posted in here, as not only will they help you out if the guy came with 10 friends (likely the reason his insecure ass can't pick up any women!), in addition to the fact you might get to stay in the club while the other guy is tossed, to finish your drinks and enjoy your night.

I remember one time in Montreal when a guy jumped me on the dance floor with sucker punches cuz I stole the girl he had been working on all night, one bouncer I knew just grabbed him and asked 'you want me to take him out the backdoor to the alley so you can handle it there?'

Not getting into fights is smart advice in this day and age though. Too many wannabe gangsters can easily get themselves a glock and wait for you outside the club.

Despite it often being fun to get into an old fashioned bar brawl, rare are those who fight that way anymore or rarer bars that let it go on (I mean one on one, with whatever is around you, drunken type fight). It's something I had to learn here, to walk away since chances are high I'd just get shot or stabbed quickly by some Colombian coke head out here.

Luckily, being a big guy and with tatoos and piercings, not many people even try to start anything with me. They'd rather pick on a pretty boy or quiet guy or small guys (even though I as well have seen many small guys kick a bigger guys ass)
