Back in 2000 I was with a girl that I had lived with for a few years. We didn't really ever fight, but we had just become indifferent to each other. We talked about splitting up, but ended up taking a trip to Connecticut, Philadelphia, NYC, and Atlantic City for a week and had a fantastic time, and I thought things were back to normal.

The Monday that we came back we both went to work, and we both got home around the same time. I thought we were going to go out to dinner, and while I was sitting at my computer checking my e-mail I saw her parents and her sister pull up to our house in a moving truck. Fuck, I guess she must be moving out after all.

I was a bit stunned but not really upset, but her dad, who I got along with extremely well, was visibly upset, and when he found out I didn't know he looked like he was going to cry. I helped them load all of her stuff into the truck, even letting her take things she had no business taking (like a very expensive knife and sword collection we amassed together but I paid for), and that was that.

I let her take the TV in the bedroom, so that night I went to Circuit City to get a new one, and when I got back home I was just ready to crash. I go into the bathroom, only to find out she took the fucking shower curtain. FFFUUCCCKKK!!! I had to go back out at almost 1AM to get a fucking shower curtain, and I had to be at work at 7AM.

The funny thing is I had a feeling she was just doing it to try and shake me up, and I told her as she was packing that she better be sure, because once she left I would never, EVER take her back. Sure enough a few weeks later she was calling and e-mailing me saying that she made a mistake, but I had already done my grieving and was not going through it again.

Anyways, I was really just trying to say I hope she didn't take your shower curtain...
