Veoh = YouTube with adult content?! (JUICY VIDEO)

Veoh 2.0 launched today and it is finally a web-based system.

It works just like YouTube, BUT:

1) they have an adult filter, so you can put up explicit trailers or whatever without them being removed. (put your 2257 link in the "licence" field).

You can link the videos to your url... it uses no bandwidth (peercasting)...and you can upload a hi-res version (they convert the flash preview)

There is lots more cool (I did some consulting for them last year) but I just wanted people to know this was out there. I have worked with the CEO, so let me know if I can answer anything, or get specific info for you.

Wiggles -- Google 'ffdshow' and download it. It's a codec that fixes just about any video that won't play.

Now... how do you guys get your hair that color??? It looks awesome and I don't want to duplicate it or anything, I'm just curious how you do it. Does it always stay that bright? I've colored my hair red before but it faded way too fast and I didn't want to be coloring my hair every two weeks just to keep it looking bright and shiny.

Anywho, very good to know about Veoh.

Or the full version download? The full version is in the native format of the uploader, so that could be the issue.

re: our hair
We bleach the crap out of it first (every 6-8 weeks)
And dye every 3-4 weeks. (we use Special Effects "Cupcake Pink")

But, yes, the bright colors do fade very fast.

There isn't much (because most people are used to these services removing it so quickly.)

But it seems they have embraced teh family filter.
And I'm told publishers will have the ability to CHARGE for the full clip (70/30 split with publisher getting 70) in 3 months.

So use it for traffic. Or use it as an on-demand revenue stream. And since it uses peercasting, you could offer 1 gig hi res files to people and pay nothing since the bandwidth is distributed.

Hey man, I just posted a trailer to see what happens, It is there and you are right there is not that much. The only thing I can't seem to find is making the video clickable to another site.

I think the links to your site are in the additional info section.

I forgot that if you have an RSS feed, it gets "sucked in" by veoh, so you can claim it there, and have control over those links, comments, etc.

They have everything they always have...and have now added youtube functionality. To me, its perfect! Now I can link quickly to videos (I used to use youtube) on a webpage. And have the hi-res version avail, too.

This interface (I believe) is just part of the intermediate step while the world shifts to in-demand IPTV.

When I was at college club, we had VISCIOUS debates about the design. I eventually was defeated by the group that wanted to copy yahoo button button. Line for line.

It was rough.

But as you bring up, their goal was investment and aquisition...mine was digital revolution.
