                      There is heavy backdoor deals happening as we post. Dems and Reps are exchanging deals like bridges, highways, land, restrictions .... ultra scummy deals.

Much of the noise about this is not from Liberals or Democrats but from Republicans. There is such a climate of fear and hate of Arabs that has been fostered by this administration that Bush is having a problem with his own on this one.

This is a HUGE swing state that has more or less decided the last 2 elections.

                                                                                                                                                                                      Almost every state with high Jewish population has a ton of electoral votes. If one side alienated that vote, they may very well lose an election. Lets not forget that there are a lot of prominent Jewish people in the world with money and kind donations.
