It's probably not very representative of what the camcorder is capable of since it was encoded at 23.9fps and she was dancing and moving around a lot so the pics are mostly blurred. But there's a few clear shots and the color/contrast are pretty good for a camcorder.

Good pixel definition and sharp tones though, it's a great camera (it will just take a little getting used to).

I have the sony hdr fx1 you can make the picture look much better what program you using .. i use Frameshot set the quality at 100 and watch how nice it is...

I'm using Sony Vegas. Not applying any cinematic filters to it, just straight encoding... Man, the render jobs take soooooo long once you start applying the FX.

Yah, it happens when you record subjects that are really close and really far from the lens at the same time (like an upward bugs' eye shot of the girl). The AF sometimes doesn't know where to focus it seems like.

Who makes "Frameshot" and where can I find it? I did a search on google/yahoo but no programs are coming up in the results. Any help would be appeciated. Thanks!

That sony camera is garbage. I bought one back in November and took it back because the image quality sucked ass (Not even "prosumer", these are more for moms and dads). Just got a pair of Canon XL H1's last week, and they rock ass. The Sony is grainy and crap.
