There are alot of options / questions you need to ask yourself. Do you know the potential company that might buy from you, is it a cash buyout or on terms, etc.
1. Talk to your counsel - that is a must
2. Nda of course and if there then really interested - mabey dual nda's so you can see there financial standing, books, cpa info, etc.
3. talk to counsel
Thanks I already have counsel however didn't think of a dual NDA, it's a good idea. I already have some questions for them to establish what I want.
I am also selling a site. Currently it makes 6.8 billion/month with proper management it has potential of making 10 nillion/month. Please icq me if you are interested but remember you'll have to get a approval from nda+Dubya too.
Probably the amassed wealth of 90% of this board's members combined couldn't afford it, for the other 10% however it's probably chump change.
Sometimes getting out of a thing that makes great money is a good way to protect yourself from risk sacrificing a bit of potential income.
Hell i'm trying to sell my biz and it's never been doing so good. (not close to 1 mil a month though, but still not negligible)
Good luck Anarchy
shoot me an ICQ i would be interested in listening to what you have for sale.

anarchy, are you for real? "Mentioning it on GFY before listing it on EBAY??" I really wouldn't recommend trying to sell on either sites if this is for real. Not something that is worth millions. If i were to sell, I would contact the big site owners who post here and if they are not interested I would find out if they know anyone who may be and kick them back a broker fee if they could set something up for me. Money typically knows money.

Will76, i quit ICQ ages ago, email me instead, brywelch AT sympatico.ca
Verify? Anarchy I am also in the process of selling a business and am wondering what you use to verify potential buyers. I have the NDA but this is my first business sale and even with a lawyer it gets confusing. I'm in the same boat about the secrecy as well, makes it hard to negociate.
The best thing is to have a broker handling the negotiations who does this every day. I've seen so many deals fall apart or not get the maximum dollar they could have when people try and sell things themselves. Brokers can also provide the necessary contracts, escrow arrangements and legal counsel if needed.
