Please help - has my domain name been stolen?

I am using namecheap for my domains.. when I try to change the DNS it says

"There is some problem updating the NameServers
The problem is: Failed to set Registrar-Lock due to name on Registrar-Hold "

I went and looked up the whois info on my domain..
    Domain Name: ********.com
    Registrar: ENOM, INC.
    Whois Server: whois.enom.com
    Referral URL: http://www.enom.com
    Name Server: DNS1.NAME-SERVICES.COM
    Name Server: DNS2.NAME-SERVICES.COM
    Name Server: DNS3.NAME-SERVICES.COM
    Name Server: DNS4.NAME-SERVICES.COM
    Name Server: DNS5.NAME-SERVICES.COM
    Status: clientTransferProhibited
    Status: clientHold
    Updated Date: 17-dec-2007

    Why does it say enom?

They are the registrar... You would be the registrant... which seems to be missing if that's the info you were given...

Are namecheap an enom reseller? If so then that's probably normal.

What is the expiry date and did you make the change on 17th Dec? From a quick web search for the term "clienthold" it looks like your dom may have expired then.

It appears your domain is past the expiration date and is about to be deleted. Within the namecheap interface click on renew/reactivate domains at the top and then reactivate on the left panel and if it brings up your domain, then pay the renewal fee and you will be able to change the dns.

you probably let it expire, contact registrar where you used to have the domain, they should be able to help you out...
