Love is only blind to the ones outside it's happy circle. We say love is blind because no matter what you say to other people or even think about people like this, this is the truth of the matter.
We bash these people because our own standards are set so impossibly high that we become miserable and jaded.
"Why does that guy get to have a hot girl?"
"Why does that hot girl love THAT guy?"
"Why would ANYONE date that person?"
"How could ANYONE love that ugly person?"
Another reason why the world is so fucked up. We spend to much time looking for the one that we can show off to EVERYONE. "See how hot my girlfriend/boyfriend is. Bet your jealous, huh?"
Love is every where and readily available. You just have to look outside the packaging the world has trained us to percieve as the ideal mate. Put down your copies of Vogue or Playboy, quit allowing yourself to be brainwashed into believing that if they aren't hot they aren't worth it. Those relationships never last anyways, unless you find that one in a million.
Is it any wonder divorce rate is so high and the number of people in unhappy relationship continue to go up because they are always chasing what's force fed into their brain as the ideal mate?
Open your eyes, happiness is not found pre-packaged with a bow on it nor does anyone else's perceived standards a warranty of goods...
"The towers are gone now, reduced to bloody rubble, along with all hopes for Peace in Our Time, in the United States or any other country. Make no mistake about it: We are At War now -- with somebody -- and we will stay At War with that mysterious Enemy for the rest of our lives." H.S.T. 09/12/01

maybe it's because you mentioned he was from nigeria and called him a thing
maybe. like I said, if I was to post picture of that Thai tennis player with his Miss Universe wife and called him asian thing it would go un-noticed, but since we'll here on “find a racist crusade” led by pussyserver guy, Nigeria reference is highly inappropriate. Ok, let me find some picture of ugly gay couple, and we’ll call it even.

thats all well and good but at the end of the day there has to be attraction too, phsyical appearance is the first impression any person has for another.
you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..

Of course there has to be attraction but your statement proves my point.
Your saying that the only kind of attraction is physical appearance. Why do you think so many relationships fail. Because most people ONLY focus on looks.
If I had a sure thing with 2 different chicks, one being drop dead gorgeous but dumb, zero personality and bitch on wheels, the second one maybe less than average but warm, personable and intelligent, I would ALWAY pick the less attractive.
Physical attractiveness should not be THE determining factor because 9 times out of 10 your going to eventually be dissappointed.

Of course but you wouldn't know that about either of them until you got to know them. First thing you would see is the phsyical.

Excellent Post Darkland. Screw it! Who cares what other people think. Looks mean nothing if there is no personality. Looks fade, we all get old and ugly some day... you need to like what's on the insde too.

Exactly, and therein lies the rub. Thanks to our conditioning we leap to assumptions of an ideal mate based on attractiveness and look where it gets us.
However you look at it or word it, most people ARE miserable and jaded in this day and age, maybe not yet but certainly later. Just look at the statements in this thread.
