Its not off topic. Sorry you disagreed with it.
The laws and the courts are open to anyone who cares to learn about it. Most people are too stupid to even file a small claims case on their own, so its no surprise that they'd be totally lost in a voir dire proceeding. Anyone can file a lawsuit. In most cases, you don't need a fucking lawyer to do everything for you. Like I said, I use them as consultants. Some of them don't like it very much, either. Lawyers like job security and if everyone started doing their own lawyering, there would be alot less need for lawyers and they could all be paralegals.
