My last two dentists have been women and I have to say that the experience with them has been far better than the experiences with male dentists.

I replaced my fillings with composites.

I almost fell asleep at my last visit. I didn't even feel the novacaine injections.

I went a few weeks ago and they found my 1st cavity well to be as old as I am it wasn't bad for the 1st. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

Yikes that sucks. I have needed to get my wisdom teeth removed for a while but the pain goes away everytime after about a week or so. I am waiting til it's unbearable.

lol ya i would too but this pain is a different kind of pain...it feels funny...highly sensitive when i bite down but i can drink ice water just fine..and my jaw feels like i was a fight with Ali (and lost lol)

Well my mom was a crazy when it came to are teeth, no candy, brush and floss 3 times a day and a water pick. I had the luck of getting braces when I was in the 3rd grade and got them off in the 5th. Everyone at the orthodontist would tell me how lucky I was cuz they were all teenagers. Then in 9th grade I had all my wisdom teeth pulled/cut out. My step dad was an asshole and made me flush my pain pills, that was one of the great memories I have of him. We all so got into a big fight and he said .....I'll never forget....."I will break your jaw and blame the dentist." My mom told him to get off me or she was going to call the cops. LOL yea right like she did all the other times I was beat? Two weeks latter I ran away from home. When they found me I went to live with my grandparents thank god.

Then he walks away from my mom after 27 years of marriage.

I know right? I hated him all my life and when he left my mom I changed my last name cuz he had adopted me. Now the one thing I do have to say is I did grow up with $$ and drove around in BMW's and sailed on a 67 foot sail boat skiing lessons and all that stuff but it wasn't worth it.

My whole face was swollen for like a month, it sucked but that was oh shit 20 years ago. Fuck I'm old.

okay i just got backkkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!

heres the verdict:
my upper AND lower wisdom teeth on the left side are both coming in at the same time...so when the teeth touch, it feels highly sensitive.

he wants me to get the upper left one taken out,as a precaution, so that it doesnt cause any problems with the lower one (which is alot harder to take out than upper wisdom teeth). so i have to see an oral surgeon to get it taken out....and since I was an "anxious" (as he put it) patient, he recomended that i get Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas) when i get it taken out. lol

then they gave me a tube of free toothpaste, scheduled a cleaning, then paid the bill. ($180..not bad!) So..thats it!

edit: oh and i still have NO CAVIETIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! w00t!
