A lesson in Capitalism

My friend Jim owns a GNC franchise south of Boston. He gets ALOT of business from Spanish Guys (not being racist, its a fact) looking to buy Inositol. They come in for the stuff by the boatload. GNC charges $84.99 for 8oz of Inositol. The Vitamin Shop down the street sold the same bottle for $12.99. Why such a huge markup on the GNC brand? He wondered the same thing. Because for some reason he wasn't losing any business to the competitor.

Come to find out Vitamin Shop and practically every other supplement store that has some sort of ethical standard dyes their Inositol PINK...Vitamin B when processed already has a little bit of a PINK color as is (as does coke) but these companies dye their Inositol even more PINK.

Since then most shops (GNC not included) have stopped selling the powder form all together.

GNC keeps theirs white and in powder form to make it more appealing for dealers...and boosts up the price 800%. Capitalism....You gotta love it.
