The owner of the car claims that he was the passenger. He had a blood alcohol level of .09. He says the guy who was driving was a German guy he only knew as "Dietrich" and that he ran after the accident.
Detectives noted that only the driver's side airbag had blood on it, the passenger's did not. The owner escaped this wreck with only a cut lip, that he got from the airbag...he claims, the passenger airbag.
