Very comfortable. Most people would call you rich as it's about 5 times the average wage. I think something like only 5% of people earn over AU$100k

AU strikes me as a country about where America was in socioeconomics in the 50's... I much prefer that time even though I was born 20 years later.

When I talked to Gramps (when he was alive) he used to tell me the differences and how some are good and some are bad and let me decide for myself that the 50's were a much better time.
