It's not a numbers game while you are in the moment. It's a 1 on 1 chance. You are not thinking "oh what the hell, I can pass her up for the next one". The intent is to hopefully have that connection work out as it's happening.
If you responded with this attitude when someone first interacts with you then why would they want to continue talking to you?
I don't talk to girls with the intention of flattering them right off the bat. That comes later. The whole point is to open communication... get something going. Yeah, so what if I talk to you and 20 other girls. My aim is not to get laid (that's secondary). My aim is to interact. If the interaction sucks with you, then yeah, move on to another conversation (could even ben other guys). If it's great with you.. bingo.. keep on talking and see what kind of person you are and where the conversation leads.
