I don't think it's a compliment when a man hits on a woman because I'm aware of the fact that for most men it's only a numbers game; they assume that if they hit up 20 chicks at least one will give him her number (or whatever their personal ratio is), so you are basically just "one of the numbers", it doesn't mean you're anything special at all.

So why should women even be flattered if a guy looks at them or asks for their number, cause fact is that most guys will look at every woman who is remotely attractive.. How is this supposed to be flattering?

I think it might even be insulting because the man is assuming that the woman will actually feel flattered when he hits on her, while for him it's only a numbers game. It's insulting the woman's intelligence because he is assuming she won't recognize his game.

What are your thoughts on this?
