I'm not sure bidding is the right word, I haven't checked out yet because I'm not sure if my offer is being accepted or not.

i did, but it was like 2 yrs ago. but my mom said she tried priceline and got the same message. wasnt like that 2 yrs ago though.

Well I guess I could do one of two things, just put in the low offer, and hope for the best, if I don't get it, I can always just buy the ticket.. it's just that I love good deals..

First time I flew that is how i got tickets. Was stuck on a late night flight. This was like 6 years ago though so they have prolly changed things and give you some better options.

They seem to offer a pretty good variety of options, if this works out I'll be using them often

Bid low. Bid exactly what you want to pay. Don't let them try to trick you by saying that most of the "recent successful bids" have been for X amount more. Fuck them. Bit what you want and most of the time it will be accepted.

Check cheaptickets.com BEFORE you bid at priceline.com. Cheap Tickets dosent play hide the price, so make sure you dont bid any higher than this price when you could have had it cheaper if they accept. Priceline.com has always declined my bids and I pretty much stopped messing with them.

I like haggling. I have always been pretty surprised at the deals I have gotten on priceline. Especially on hotels. Try getting the W Hotel in Westwood (Los Angeles) for $125 any other way. It's just not happening. But if I put the recommended bid in there I would have paid $225 just because that's what all the other scared suckers paid.

sounds good, I'll do that. So you don't really know if they'll accept your bid until you put in your credit card info and try to buy the ticket?
