this happened to me more than once - we had the strap in elementary school and I got it a whole bunch of times in my 6 years in elementary school and Principal Burwell who was a good man would call your parents when he used it - and then i'd get more crap at home for whatever I did and he had the full support of parents. you did something bad ol' Frank would interrupt the class, grab you and walk you out of the class and everybody would know where you were headed and what was going to happen.
