Sweden beating the USA is no big deal, they should be the USA. The two teams are pretty even up front (esp. with Forsberg out) but the Swedes have a small edge on D and in goal.
My biggest shock so far has been Switzerland's stealing two games in their group, getting a win over the Czechs and Canadians. I figured their goaltending would be 3rd best in the tourney, but the two teams I figured had better goaltending are the teams they beat. Gerber and Aebischer have been sensational... and if that carries over to the NHL, the Cup Final will be Carolina vs. Colorado... (which, if you think about it, would be an entertaining Stanley Cup final...)Comment

I saw some of it.. I was wondering when Kovalchuk would wake up... he did with a vengance today. If the Russians are firing on all cylinders offensively, they'll be tough to beat in the knockout phase, esp. if they can get an opponent to try to skate with them. As for what went wrong with the USA, it's obvious.
