How have you gained your independence?

Personally I have gained independence through adult as well as mainstream. Since this is adult I will simply discuss what made me the most money in the adult industry.

Through adult affiliate programs is how I achieved the ability to be self-employed.

The best affiliate program is, yes you guessed it, Friend Finder Inc.
Friend Finder Inc. offers the webmaster MANY opportunities to garner success. Not only through the popular Adult Friend Finder, but also through other sites like ALT, Passion, and even Gay FriendFinder.

The other affiliate program that helped me achieve independence is Spa Cash.
Spa Cash offers over 50 sites in 10 languages. So not only can you advertise with English sites, you can advertise on sites with French, Italian, and Spanish language traffic. Spa Cash even offers a messenger service so you can communicate with fellow webmasters easily; my contact name is 427890 if you want to talk.

So if you want to run your own business with limitless profitability then Friend Finder Inc. and Spa Cash are your best bets for independence.

Fellow self-employed adult webmasters, how have you gained your independence?

When does it pay off? lol I'm new to being an affiliate, I have some great ideas but I don't know if any of them are worth it. How do you get traffic to come to your site? Buying lots of links or creating PR (something diffrent)? How do you get them out there to come and check it out. (Your sites)

You have many people to compete with, so you have to work harder than them in order to make more money than them.

The term "pay" can mean many things. What I think you mean is when can you make lots of money. In order to make a lot of money you have to work your butt off. Nothing is ever just handed to you, you have to work for it. If you have ideas, then go to webmaster conventions and introduce yourself to others, get to know them, and possibly partner with them. If you prefer to do it alone, then the best way to make money is to "Diversify your bonds bitch". Make TGPs, resource sites, forums, blogs, whatever. The more sites you have the less you will worry if a site totally flops.

You should NOT be thinking "how do you get traffic", you should be thinking "how can I earn more traffic". You wont get people to link to a blank web site. Create your web site(s) with originality that will create repeat visitors, and then you will see the fruits of your labour.
