Search engines are an overcrowded market now...

I would suggest building article directories. Now a days, having content oriented site is the buzzword.

I saw this awhile ago ninja.. i've seen your site and I know you've probably got quite a few ideas for this like I do.

I think the real power in this thing for us is going to be inhouse automated research stuff, not a public facing SE.

Anybody with a "fresh perspective" of non-indexed material can do well with a proprietary SE, so long as a relationship wtih the large SEs is properly cultivated --

hey Paul, vertical search engines are fun...even if you don't do SEO on them, can still brand them and get traffic to them from other sources. Anyway, it is always good to have more toys to play with ;-)
