    epassporte question

    Okay I need a new epassporte card as mine is getting very VERY worn ( the black stripe is wearing off :-/ second card already )

    So i hit em up
    asked if they could reissue me the same card to me so I can keep using this card until my new fresh card gets here
    THey tell me no they are not able to do that

    BUT what they can do is when your card is about to expire issue you a new card 1 month in advanced with the SAME number and all that jaz?? I dont get it?
    why can they do it then but not now ????

    I use my epass card ATLEAST 2-3 times a day


    I am not one to bring troubles to the board but - god damn :-/

          My understanding of how the cards work is that only one card can be active at a time and if a new card is issued early the old card will no longer function.
          I remember you contacted me about this a couple of months ago and that I told you this.

          I understand what you mean and I will contact the person handling the cards and ask about this again and see if its possible to send you a new card.
          Can you please email me with your account name and that you accept $35 will be taken out of your account for a new card and I will get back to you when I hear back on Monday.

                      in another thread it was stated [by you i think]
                      that a new card is issued 1 month in advanced so you are NEVER without a card....
                      how come I cant get this done NOW?

                              It was a problem with the old card the print on the front disappeared quickly the new cards are of much better quality.

                                          its known that it takes up to 4 weeks to get the new card
                                          would love to have the new one before my trip
                                          so i can use the card nation wide

                                              4 weeks is for the parts of the world where the postal service is known not to be to reliable.
                                              Took me 11 days to get it in Denmark from it was ordered.

                                                  took 4weeks+ to canada.. but then again i wouldnt call our postal service reliable

                                                  When i got my new card , both my old card and my new card worked.. not sure why.. infact its been months and it still tells me to set my pin number even though the card works fine.. everytime i try to change it it times out and nothing happens. I have given up trying.. since the card works fine its not a problem..

                                                      I remember a few years back I had a similar problem with Paypal. My Paypal debit card was cracked but it still worked. I called and asked if they could send me a new one and they said yes but that they would have to cancel the old one. Well, I was out on the road and needed the old one so that wasn't an option. The guy suggested that I just order an additional card using my first initial and last name (instead of my first and last name) and that way he could send me the additional card and I could continue to use the old one until I got the new one and then cancel the old one. That's what we did and it worked out fine. Not sure if this is a workaround for your problem with ePass but ???

                                                              epassporte should be able to reissue. I just got mine a few days ago. It wouldn't make much sense if they can't reissue...

                                                                              A new card have been issued, you need to contact me when it arrives so the old one can be blocked.
                                                                              It will be printed later this week and go out at the lastest Mon/Tuesday of next week.
