I see your point but you're barking up the wrong tree with Obama.
He has never played the race card in his political career.
Sure there are some black people who will vote for him only because he's black...but there are white people who WON'T vote for him just because he's black.
There are people who will vote for Huckabee only because he's a christian and people who will vote for Romney only because he's a mormon.
I'm sure alot of catholics voted for Kennedy in 1960.
Just because alot of voters have fucked up reasons for voting for the candidate they choose, doesn't mean we're supposed to hold that against the candidate. (Unless the candidate is playing the race/religion/gender/whatever card in order to get support)
