I use the Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000, it's a good webcam. The one you are looking at is newer, so you'll be happy with it.
Some people are saying to use a video camera, but I do not agree with this unless we are talking about a professional live cam setup with a decent lighting scheme. Otherwise I'm not seeing the benefit. The newer Logitech webcams are going to give you a lot more on-screen control. The Communicate Deluxe also has a much higher resolution (1280x1024) than a cheap video camera, so the software zoom is going to work just as well as a zoom lens to make minor adjustments around your desk.
